PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure which simplifies connection work of a connecting portion and prevents the deformation thereof to improve its frame rigidity, and to provide a building. SOLUTION: A fitting rib 22 is fitted in a rib 16 while covering the projection 17 of the rib 16, and is engaged with a washer 3 inserted into the recess 18 of the rib 16 from the opposite side, and fastening the rib 16 and fitting rib 22 with a fastener 4 through the washer 3 so as to firmly connect the rib 16, fitting rib 22 and washer 3 together. This eliminates the formation of a gap between the rib 16 and fitting rib 22, and also eliminates the deviation between them to prevent the deformation of the connecting portion, with the improved initial rigidity of a frame comprising a shape steel 1 and a joint metal 2.
