PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of achieving improvement in brightness and image quality by minimizing the frequency of disclination that contributes to the occurrence of a dark section. SOLUTION: The device includes: a gate wire and a data wire aligned on a substrate to mutually cross to thereby define pixel areas; a flat first transparent electrode formed in each of the pixel area; a plurality of second transparent electrodes aligned on the first transparent electrode in a stripe shape; and a connecting section mutually connecting terminal ends of the second transparent electrodes. The connecting section is constituted to connect the terminal ends of the second transparent electrode on a unit basis composed of a plurality of adjacent pixels. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
