摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus suitable for reducing man-hours required for manufacture and for adjustment of an inclination detection when assembly is carried out. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging element having a pixel array in which a plurality of pixels, each including a photoelectric conversion portion, are arrayed in first and second directions. In this case, the imaging apparatus includes: an acceleration sensor for detecting a first gravity acceleration component in a direction along a first detection axis and a second gravity acceleration component in a direction along a second detection axis crossing the first detection axis, which act on the imaging apparatus; and a calculation means for calculating the inclination of the imaging apparatus by detecting the magnitude of the first gravity acceleration component measured using the first detection axis and the polarity of the second gravity acceleration component measured using the second detection axis. In the acceleration sensor, the first detection axis extends in a direction crossing the first and second directions, and the second detection axis extends in a direction crossing the first and second directions but extends in a direction different from the direction of the first detection axis.
