METHOD FOR DETOXIFICATION TREATMENT OF ASBESTOS, AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING PLASMA DISCHARGE TREATMENT WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely perform the detoxification treatment of asbestos without especially performing combustion treatment using a high temperature treatment furnace or the deterioration treatment due to hydrogen fluoride. SOLUTION: Asbestos is detoxified by expanding and solidifying needle crystals of asbestos on the basis of reaction for replacing at least a part of magnesium atoms in the constitutional molecules of asbestos with calcium atoms and reaction bonding alkoxysilane to the hydroxy groups in the constitutional molecules of asbestos and vitrifying the asbestos in such a state that the needle crystals are melted by the vitrification reaction after the solidification of the needle crystals.
