PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a green phosphor which eliminates phosphorescence and can improve luminance, color characteristics and temperature degradation, a plasma display panel including the green phosphor, and a method for making the green phosphor. SOLUTION: The green phosphor includes: strontium (Sr); aluminum (Al); europium (Eu); and at least one element selected from phosphorus (P), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), and bismuth (Bi). The green phosphor is represented by Sr<SB>(1-x)</SB>Al<SB>(1-y)</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O;Eu<SB>x</SB>(chemical formula 1), wherein M is at least one selected from phosphorus (P), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), and bismuth (Bi), and 0.01≤x≤0.3, and 0.01≤y≤0.2 are satisfied.
