PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil antenna and electronic equipment using thereof, whose transmitting/receiving sensitivity is good in a region of high frequencies of 100 MHZ or higher. SOLUTION: The coil antenna is constituted by making a winding in a column-shaped magnetic core in which a column-shaped magnetic body composed of a mixture of soft magnetic powder and an organic binder is covered with an insulating body, wherein at least in one end part of the column-shaped structure, a plane part is provided, and the region where the plane part is provided is 3/4 or less of the circumference of the column-shaped structure.
