PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC magnetic field shielding device for a hood section of AC electric railway vehicles which enhances the effect of reducing magnetic fields at vehicle ends of the AC electric railway vehicles. SOLUTION: A magnetic shield body 14, such as an aluminum plate having a thickness of 5 mm, is disposed outside a floor surface of an inner hood 13 hung between the AC electric railway vehicles 11 and 12. For an outer hood, the same magnetic shield body as the inner hood 13 is disposed inside a top end surface and a side surface. Further, as the magnetic shield body, an aggregation of conductive electric wires may be used instead of a plate-shaped conductive material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
