摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building exterior material capable of obtaining high-degree photocatalytic gas decomposition activity even in a case that the photocatalyst layer is applied in a thickness of above 2μm so as to suppress the deterioration of an enamel coating surface or clear coating surface, and coating solution therefor. SOLUTION: The building exterior material is formed by providing a photocatalyst layer on the surface of a base material and the photocatalyst layer is obtained by drying the photocatalyst coating solution applied to the surface of the base material. The photocatalyst coating solution is composed of photocatalytic titanium oxide particles, tin oxide particles, a curable silicone emulsion and water and the tin oxide particles are partially subjected to coating or modification treatment by a substance having a hydrophobic group.
