PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article receiving device improving design properties, enabling the mails or home-delivery articles to be securely and smoothly received even without an identification such as a room number and having an urgent-unlocking mechanism for not damaging the design properties of the device. SOLUTION: When unlocking a mail box (1002), a first electronic key means (1081) unlocks the mail box corresponding to the user or to the key means; a position of the mail box unlocked is displayed via a mail box opening/closing display means (1004); and when a home-delivery box (1003) housing a home-delivery article delivered to the user is present, a display means of a second electronic key means (1082) controls and displays the presence of the article delivered to the user. The urgent-unlocking devices are collectively disposed for urgently unlocking the mail boxes and the home-delivery boxes individually in a dedicated place (1001) of a box district.
