PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water retaining tool for plant cultivation, reducing labor of water supply to a potted plant. SOLUTION: This water retaining tool for plant cultivation, having high hydrophilicity and water retainability is formed in a cubic form, a spherical form and a disk form by a synthetic resin foamed material such as polyurethane foam, melamine foam, and PVA foam, and is placed in the inside of a flowerpot 5 and on soil 4.
