The module i.e. thin-layer photovoltaic module (1), has regions, which are connected in parallel and comprise an absorber layer i.e. active layer (7). The absorber layer is arranged between a front contact layer (5) and a rear contact layer (9). The two contact layers are used for the parallel connection of the regions. A metallic layer i.e. metal paste, is arranged at an area of electrical connection of poles of the regions. The absorber layer comprises an amorphous silicon layer and a microcrystalline silicon layer. The module comprises a front glass (3) and a rear glass (15). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a photovoltaic module.
