<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device and a video display method, capable of displaying a video which a viewing user feels natural according to ambient illuminance and a color temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The video display device 2 includes: an illuminance sensor 270 for detecting an ambient illuminance; a color temperature sensor 271 for detecting an ambient color temperature; a day/night determination part 25e for determining which it is at present, day or night on the basis of regional information and information regarding sunrise or sunset; and a luminance determination part 25a, a color temperature determination part 25b, and a density determination part 25c for controlling image quality processing on the basis of an illuminance signal, a color temperature signal, and the determination result of the day/night determination part 25e. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
