PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the base isolation structure of a nuclear fuel storage facility, which enables to automatically return a nuclear fuel storage rack that slides in case of an earthquake, to its original position. SOLUTION: The base isolation structure A of a nuclear fuel storage facility 10 configured to store the nuclear fuel storage rack 2 storing nuclear fuel assemblies, in water in a storage pit 3, includes an inclined plane 11a that gradually inclines from the outside of the nuclear fuel storage rack 2 in the transverse direction T1 to the center of the nuclear fuel storage rack 2 in the transverse direction T1, on a mounting surface 12 in the storage pit 3 for mounting the nuclear fuel storage rack 2.
