<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrumentation power meter capable of facilitating standby power reduction without removing a plug of an electric apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A television set 2 includes a power connection 3 connected to an external power supply 30 and a load 5 which operates by the supply of the external power supply 30 through a power supply connection 3. The instrumentation power meter 1 built in the television set 2 includes a voltage detection circuit 11 for detecting an input voltage to a load 5, a current detection circuit 13 for detecting an input current to the load 5, an arithmetic processing unit 16 for obtaining power consumption of the load from detection results of the input voltage and the input current, a display 17 for displaying the power consumption obtained by the calculation unit 16, a switching element 14 connected in series to a power supply path between the power connection 3 and the load 5, and an open/close control circuit 15 for controlling on-off operations of the switching element 14 according to a control command from the arithmetic processing unit 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
