PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood eliminating a design frame of a switch operation part, an opening for an operation button, and a clearance, enabling cleaning without requiring much labor and time by a user, and improving durability of a switch. SOLUTION: The range hood is equipped with: an air blower 2 for discharging oily smoke generated during cooking to an outdoor side; a pressing part of the switch provided on the surface of a casing 12 and used for operation input of the air blower 2; a coil 17 for detecting the operation input via the casing 12; and a control part 22 for determining operation of the air blower 2 based on a signal detected by the coil 17. The coil 17 detects switch input by displacement of a top part 11. The range hood determines the switch input by minute displacement of the top part 11 operated by the user.
