PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size surface acoustic wave device which suppresses an influence of disturbance noise. SOLUTION: In the surface acoustic wave device 1, a quadrangular ring electrode 3 is formed on a principal plane of a piezoelectric substrate 2, an unbalance IDT electrode 6 and a balanced IDT electrode 7 are arranged by integrally forming each one of bus bars 4, 5 with each of a pair of sides facing the ring electrode 3, an unbalance side connection part 10 connected to an unbalance input/output part 8, balanced side connection pads 15, 16 connected to each of balanced input/output parts 11, 12, and connection electrodes 21, 22 which connect each of surface acoustic wave propagation parts 17-20 of the balanced IDT electrode 7 and the unbalance IDT electrode 6 are arranged. Intervals between the unbalance side connection pad 10 and the balanced side connection pads 15, 16 are equal to each other, and constitutions of the unbalance IDT electrode 6, the balanced IDT electrode 7, the connection electrodes 21, 22 and extraction electrodes 9, 13, 14, are perpendicular to the propagation direction of the surface acoustic wave of the unbalance IDT electrode 6 and the balanced IDT electrode 7, and symmetrical by making a line which passes through the center of the unbalance side connection pad 10, as a symmetrical axis.
