PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand dryer not providing a user with a feeling of cold air on the hands through a high-speed air flow at drying the hands even in a lower outdoor temperature. SOLUTION: The hand dryer includes nozzle parts 1 for delivering air, fan motor 2 for supplying air to the nozzle parts 1, a body casing 3 forming a configuration, a suction opening 4 for supplying air to the fan motor 2 and a heating means 5 for heating air supplied from the fan motor 2. The casing 3 includes a person detecting means 6 and starts heating the hands through a finger detecting means 7 when a person is detected, thereby allowing the hand dryer not to provide the user with a feeling of cold air on the hands through a high-velocity air flow at drying the hands even in a lower outdoor temperature.
