PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device capable of precisely cutting a long material relative to its axial direction even if the long material has slight curve, twist or the like. SOLUTION: This cutting device 1 comprises cutting means 2 with a cutting blade, fixation means 3 arranged near a cutting position for cutting a long material W with the cutting blade and fixing one longitudinal end of the long material W, clamp means 4 for holding the other longitudinal end of the long material W, support means 5 for supporting the clamp means 4, and transfer means 6 for transferring the support means 5 toward the cutting position. The clamp means 4 is supported by the support means 5, in a manner that it can move at least one direction orthogonal to a transferring direction E of the long material W.
