<p>Organic disulphides are added to organophosphorus cpds. as stabilisers. Prefd. phosphorus cpds. are organic phosphates and their sulphur analogues, esp. if they contain a vinyl gp. and are of formula (RX)2-P(X)-X-Y (where X is O or S; R is alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkylaryl, chlorophenyl, nitrophenyl; Y is a gp. -C(R')=C(Z)(Z') or -C(R')=C(O)-O-R where R' is H, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or chlorophenyl; Z is halogen; Z' is H or halogen). The additives slow down decomposition by water-vapour during storage and use of the pesticides; bisulphides of molecular weight >200 are prefd.</p> |
