The adapter (1) has a visor device support (70) that is approximately movable parallel to a weapon longitudinal direction and arranged at a guiding frame (40). A spring element is arranged between the support and the frame and fastens the support to a rear stop of the frame. The spring element tensions the support before delivering a shot. A damping element (100) is arranged between the support and the frame. The damping element has a flexible part that damps and retards a part of relative movement between the support and the frame by the rebound-caused movement released by the shot.
