The system has a direct current (DC) bus system i.e. DC bus (7), supplying and controlling tail lamps (RL, RR) that are arranged at a rear side of a semi trailer (A). A positive conductor (22) supplies voltage to side lights and/or clearance lights. A routing of the positive conductor is extended up to a controller-side and a tail lamp-side. The positive conductor is attachable in the bus system by a light control unit (10). The light control unit is taken up in a connection box (2) for connecting cables (3) from a towing vehicle (Z).
