<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processing apparatus compatible with the kinds and the number of interface circuits, which are different in accordance with an external device with a common hardware configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A sub-board 150 has an engine IF 156 for converting an image signal from a main board 110 in accordance with a physical layer specification of a print engine of a connection destination. The sub-board 150 is prepared by kind of a print engine, and is combined with a common main board 110 to be used. In an FPGA 120 of the main board 110, a sub-board IF 126 for converting, for example, a control protocol other than the physical layer specification in accordance with a print engine is formed as well as a common image processing circuit 124. A flash memory 116 stores circuit configuration data of the sub-board IF 126 by kind of the sub-board 150 (accordingly, a print engine), and the sub-board IF 126 is configured according to circuit configuration data corresponding to a sub-board kind set in a dip switch 119. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
