PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that efficiently exhausts heat and moisture generated in a fixing device without enlarging the apparatus, and also prevents condensation in the circumference of paper conveying path. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus (color printer 1) includes a fixing device (fixing unit 5), and an exhaust means that exhausts air of high temperature and humidity generated in the fixing device. An exhaust fan EF is arranged in the exhaust means, and the exhaust fan EF is installed such that the axial direction forms an angle with the paper conveying path 8 above the fixing device (fixing unit 5). Also, an exhaust flow path of downstream side in the exhaust direction of the exhaust fan EF is formed narrower than the flow path of upper stream side in the exhaust direction of the exhaust fan EF.
