PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for a free access floor, which enables heavy equipment to be installed in an upper section without amplification of vibrations from a beam, and which can be easily installed and constructed on the beam. SOLUTION: A fixing plate 23 is attached to a connecting portion 11 of at least a part of a frame 7. The fixing plate 23 is a plate-like member in which a plurality of slots 27 are provided. The fixing plate 23 is provided in such a manner as to protrude to the outside of the frame 7. A holding plate 31 as a member almost similar to the fixing plate 23 is provided in a position corresponding to the fixing plate 23, below the beam 3. Slots 28 are provided in the holding plate 31 as in the case of the fixing plate 23. The bolt 29 passes through the fixing plate 23 and the holding plate 31, and is fixed by means of a nut 33 from below.
