PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce display of an image in a digital still camera. SOLUTION: A digital still camera reads a plurality of image data from a storage part and displays the plurality of read-out image data on a liquid crystal monitor. When an external device is communicably connected, it is determined whether or not the external device is a projector and when it is determined that the external device is a projector, based on a layout of the plurality of image data displayed on the liquid crystal monitor and the plurality of image data, one image data representing a mode of the plurality of image data displayed on the liquid crystal monitor is generated.
