摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent peel-off between a common electrode formed in a matted manner, in planar and an interlayer insulation film, in an IPS (In Plane Switching)-type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, the common electrode 110 is formed on an organic passivation film 109 in a matted manner in plane, the interlayer insulation film 111 is formed on the common electrode 110, and a comb-teeth-shaped pixel electrode 112 is formed on the interlayer insulating film 111. The pixel electrode 112 is connected to a source electrode 107 via a through-hole 130 formed in the organic passivation film 109 and an inorganic passivation film 108. The interlayer insulating film 111 is formed only on the upper surface part of the organic passivation film 109, so that the stress resulting from the difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the organic passivation film 109 and the interlayer insulating film 111 can be prevented from becoming excessive, and the peel-off between the interlayer insulating film 111 and the common electrode 110 can be prevented.
