PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a composition for aqueous flame-retardant treatment, which relates to a flame-retarding treatment of textile products (including resin molded products) and simply performs the reduction of damage of fire disaster by lowering and retarding the generation of fire disaster, by enriching the flame-retarding treatment only by attaching the composition as it is to a ready-made article in order to reduce secondary disaster of an occurring toxic gas, and by retarding, relaxing and reducing accidental fire disaster. SOLUTION: The composition for aqueous flame-retardant treatment includes the main component comprising a sulfate, a carbonate, a phosphate, a silicate, a nitrate, or a chloride (each of these salts is a mixture prepared by jointly using Na, K, NH<SB>4</SB>, Ca, Mg or Al and a sulfamate, a glycolate, a tartrate, an adipate, a lactate, a gluconate, a hydroxycarboxylate, a salicylate, a succinate or a bisulfate (K, NH<SB>4</SB>, Na, MEA, DEA, TEA, MIPA, or Mg)), an accessory component comprising an aqueous solution including at least two kinds of water-soluble surfactants in a good balance, and if necessary a polyhydric alcohol as the third component.
