PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting epoxy resin composition curable at low temperatures. SOLUTION: The thermosetting epoxy composition comprises a contact product of an epoxy resin, an epoxy-curing agent and an accelerator for the epoxy-curing agent; wherein the curing agent or the accelerator includes a urea compound as a reaction product of an isocyanate and an alkylated polyalkylenepolyamine of the general formula in the figure having one primary or secondary amine and at least two tertiary amines.
