PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device in which the position of an operating part before exchange of a power source is changed to turn on and off the power source. SOLUTION: The electronic device is equipped with a device body 10 capable of housing a battery, a lid 20 which is combined with the device body 10 in the state the battery is housed and becomes the lid, an operating part 22 which moves from an "On" location to turn on the power supply supplied from the battery to an "Off" location to turn off the power supply, and a movement and holding means which, when the operating part 22 is not in any of the prescribed locations of the "On" location or "Off" location, moves and holds the operating part 22 to the prescribed location according to removal and combination of the lid 20 from and with the device body 10.
