PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for controlling video cyclic display which prevents a fault from being erroneously recognized to be a fault on a display device side when the fault occurs on a video information transmission side, in a system for cyclically displaying video imaged by a plurality of camera devices. SOLUTION: This device for controlling video cyclic display includes: a source tree information acquisition section 92 for acquiring source tree information representing a device configuration on a normally-operating video information transmission side; a decoder setting information storage section 91 for storing a cycle list structured by identification information of a monitoring camera as source information of video information used as a preset cyclic display object; a processing object source list generation section 94 for extracting the identification information of the monitoring camera constituting the cycle list from the identification information constituting the source tree information, and generating a processing object source list by the extracted information; and a decoding section 95 for sequentially acquiring and decoding video information based on the generated processing object source list to be output to a display device 100.
