The method involves manufacturing a carcase body (14) and a carcase roof module (1) in a separate manner. The carcase roof module is detachably connected with the carcase body in a carcase body production line. A completed roof module is installed in the carcase body production line in which partially completed carcase bodies are fixed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor vehicle, particularly passenger car; and (2) a roof module for a motor vehicle, particularly passenger car.
