NEW PET FOOD COMPOSITION AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pet food containing meat and grain which interests dogs.

SOLUTION: A canine pet food composition comprising a meat-based material has an essentially solid mass assuming the shape of a container in which it is packed. The pet food has meat particles with a moisturized appearance and visually recognizable discrete food particles upon slicing the pet food mass after departure from the container.
