<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for achieving the same input operation as that of a touch panel at lower costs and through a simpler method than the touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: Electronic equipment is provided with: a panel section (110) for displaying a predetermined display screen; a substrate section (150) arranged on the opposite side of the display surface of the panel section, and equipped with at least four switch mechanisms (130); and a control part for controlling a display on the panel section.
