<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that can secure a quantity of conveyance (a quantity of circulation) by suppressing an increase in stress on developer, without increasing the size of the device in the configuration in which conveyance screws are vertically arranged next to each other. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device, for visually processing an electrostatic latent image with developer composed of toner and carrier, includes: first and second conveyance spaces 30A and 30B vertically provided next to each other in the direction of gravity, and having developer agitating-and-conveying members 32 and 33 disposed therein; and a communicating portion 36 provided in a partition portion for separating the first and second conveyance spaces, and used as a delivery and receipt portion of developer. In the inside of the communicating portion 36, aside from the developer agitating-and-conveying members 32 and 33, a transfer conveying member 37 for conveying developer in a higher position is provided. In the communicating portion, the ability of the transfer conveying member to transfer and convey developer toward the developer agitating-and-conveying member per unit time is higher than the ability of the developer agitating-and-conveying member to agitate and convey developer per unit time in the direction of conveyance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
