摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus for performing superior communication while suppressing power consumption by efficiently utilizing an output light energy from a light source of a transmission unit in transmitting a light including different data from a single hub to a plurality of nodes. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit of the hub grasps the positions of the plurality of nodes as destinations of light transmission, recognizes a communication speed required for communication from each of the nodes, and instructs an SLM unit 13 to output an optical pattern indicating a two-dimensional strength distribution. An SLM control unit 130 forms a CGH image in which a two-dimensional phase pattern corresponding to the optical pattern is superimposed on a diffraction grating pattern, and causes a liquid crystal SLM 137 to display the image. A plurality of wavelength lights incident into the liquid crystal SLM 137 through a Fourier transform lens 12 are subjected to wavelength division multiplexing by the liquid crystal SLM 137. When the light phase-modulated by the liquid crystal SLM 137 passes through a Fourier transform lens 14, a desired optical pattern is formed.
