DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RECOGNITION OF MOVEMENT ENVIRONMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement environment recognizing device capable of acquiring detailed movement environment information with a greatly reduced information processing amount and simplified procedure. SOLUTION: A distance from a sensor origin O from an object S2 is measured based on the reflection light from an intersection TR of a conical detection light DET and a surface S2 of the object. The shape of the object surface S2 is obtained from the feature value of the intersection TR acquired from the measuring results. Thus, by utilizing solid configuration of the conical detection light DET, the shape of the object S2 is measured easily and with sure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
