PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent wave treatment method, restraining diffusion of odor of a permanent wave agent in the permanent wave treatment. SOLUTION: An operator performs a pre-shampoo process S1, a winding process S2 of winding a hair of a person to be treated round a rod, and a cap applying process S3 of putting a cap on the head of the person to be treated. Subsequently the operator performs a first agent applying process S4 of applying a first agent to the hair with the cap put on the hair of the person to be treated, and performs a cap removing process S5, a test curl process S6 and a water washing process S7 of washing the hair with water. Further the operator performs a cap re-applying process S8 of again applying a cap to the head of the person to be treated, and then performs a second agent applying process S9 of applying a second agent to the hair with the cap put on the hair of the person to be treated.
