PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a screw-in type steel pipe pile capable of cooling heat which is generated in the steel pipe caused by friction between the ground and the steel pipe, suppressing a temperature increase of the steel pipe, and safely constructing by preventing the generation of the torsional buckling of the steel pipe. SOLUTION: The method includes the screw-in type steel pipe pile 1 which is constituted by attaching a blade 10 to a tip or its vicinity of a steel pipe 2 and penetrates the ground by giving a rotating force to the steel pipe 2 to be embedded in the ground. Heat generated by the friction between the steel pipe 2 and the ground by a cooling material 20 is cooled by inserting the cooling material 20 into the steel pipe 2 during construction in advance, and the temperature increase of the steel pipe 2 is suppressed.
