<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which has a shortened start time, and consequently is improved in convenience. <P>SOLUTION: A main control section 261 of the projector 1 includes a light source control section 2614 for performing drive control on a light source lamp 2411. When it is recognized that a shutter 22 is in an open state, the light source control section 2614 immediately turns on the light source lamp 2411. When a recording medium includes image information immediately after the light source lamp 2411 is immediately turned on, a projector body 2 enlarges and projects image light which is based on the image information. When it is recognized that the shutter 22 is in a closed state and the recording medium includes image information, the light source control section 2614 lights off the light source lamp 2411, and after the lapse of a predetermined time or longer in the closed state of the shutter 22 from the immediate on-state of the light source lamp 2411. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
