PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning device, a positioning method, and a program, measuring a travel amount in a self-contained navigation function by multiplying step data by the number of steps detected, and intermittently positioning by GPS, while traveling arbitrary a travel route, to correct the step data. SOLUTION: Positioning by GPS is performed at a back end point of a travel route (T1) where positioning of the self-contained navigation function is performed, information about the travel route (T1) determined by the self-contained navigation function is corrected based on a vector (Vb) showing an amount of difference between a positioning result (B) by GPS at the back end point and a positioning result (B1) by the self-contained navigation function, and the step data used in arithmetic processing of the self-contained navigation function is corrected based on comparing the total travel amount of the travel route (T1) measured by the self-contained navigation function and a path length of a corrected travel route (T2).
