PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type separator which is capable of more accurately separating a material to be separated, and which can be manufactured at a low cost and is friendly to environment. SOLUTION: The dry type separator is provided with a vessel, a raw material supply port to charge the material to be separated into the vessel, a separation layer, which is installed within the vessel, to fluidize and/or circulate the material to be separated, a gas dispersion plate installed at the bottom part of the separation layer, a gas introduction pipe to introduce a gas into the separation layer via the gas dispersion plate, a first material to be separated collection means arranged so that at least a part gets into the separation layer and a second material to be separated collection means arranged at the upper part of the separation layer and is characterized by fluidizing the material to be separated to separate the same by the gas introduced through the gas dispersion plate.
