PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow stopper which is directly attached onto a roof surface so as to enhance a snow-melting effect against accumulated snow on the various types of roof surfaces employing tiling, slate roofing, standing seam roofing, lateral roofing, folded plate roofing, and batten seam roofing, etc.; and to provide a device for attaching the snow stopper. SOLUTION: In a snow stopper body 1 constituting the snow stopper, a plurality of members with a right angled triangle-shaped side surfaces, which wholly use a wire rod and which include a front-side portion 2, a bottom side portion 3 and an inclined portion 4, are erected at proper intervals; a plurality of horizontal rods 5, 5, 5 and 5 are laid between the front side portions; vertical rods 6 and 6 are erected between the inclined portion and the bottom side portion; a plurality of crest rods 7, 7 and 7 are temporarily provided between the inclined portions; a plurality of bottom rods 8, 8 and 8 are laid between the bottom side portions; and supporting plates 9, 9, 10 and 10 are installed on the backsides of the bottom side portion to the front-side portion and the rear-side bottom side portion among the bottom side porions, respectively. The device for attaching the snow stopper makes the snow stopper attached in the proper position on the slope of each roof in such a manner that a part of a separately-provided attachment member 11 is latched to the supporting plate of the rear-side bottom side portion of the body, in accordance with form conditions of the roof.
