PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate collapse of a core after casting when casting a hollow casting such as a cylinder block 1 of an internal combustion engine using the core 7. SOLUTION: An air path 10 is formed in the core 7, and a metal melt is injected into outer casting molds 5, 6, and thereafter compressed air is supplied into the air path 10 in a state of shutting off communication of the air path with the atmosphere.
