PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small multiple-spindle drilling and tapping machine including a collet chuck mechanism capable of putting a drill on each spindle in a short period of time. SOLUTION: A collet cylinder 30 is fixedly screwed with each spindle 10 of the small multiple-spindle drilling and tapping machine 1 in contact with its circular stepped surface 16, and a collet 38 of a shape narrowed toward a tip is formed at the tip of the collet cylinder 30. A chucking cylinder 40 is mounted from the tip. The chucking cylinder 40 is screwed while a shank 51 of a drill 50 is inserted into the collet 38 from the tip, whereby the drill 50 is chucked by the collet 38. Since a length L from the rear end of the collet cylinder 30 to the tip 52 of the drill does not vary during the chucking, drills 50 can be simply attached to numerous spindles 10 in a short period of time.
