1,223,764. Runners for sliding doors windows &c. ELTREVA A.G. 30 Oct., 1968 [4 Nov., 1967], No. 51551/68. Heading E1J. A roller runner for a sliding door or window comprises a row of rollers 2 for moving over a glide track 3a, a row of lead-bearing rolls 4a for contacting a surface 1 which supports the door or window, the rolls 4a being supported by link rods 4 on the rollers 2 so that vertical movement of any of the rollers 2 relative to the supporting surface 1 is compensated by a relative adjusting horizontal movement of the load-bearing rolls 4a. The load-bearing members may be a housing element housing a roller 2 and having an upwardly tapering roof in sliding contact with a load bearing member in the form of an inverted triangle of similar base angles as the roof and capable of a horizontal sliding movement relatively to the load bearing surface. Alternatively the load bearing members may be rolls in contact with the rooves of the houses and the supporting surface. |
