<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely lightweight magnesium-lithium alloy which has corrosion resistance and cold workability compatibly in a high level, has tensile strength to some extent, and is reduced in surface electric resistance value, to provide a rolled material thereof, to provide a formed article, and to provide a process for producing them. <P>SOLUTION: The magnesium-lithium alloy has a composition containing, by mass, 0.5 to 16.0% Li and 0.50 to 1.50% Al, and the balance Mg, and in which the average crystal grain diameter is 5 to 40 μm, and has a tensile strength of ≥150 MPa. In the alloy, when a probe including two cylindrical pins in which the distance between the pins is 10 mm and a pin tips have a diameter of 2 mm (the contact surface area of one probe is 3.14 mm<SP>2</SP>) is pressed against the surface at a load of 240 g, the surface electric resistance value by an ammeter is ≤1 Ω. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
