<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat generation or partial wear in rotation of a shaft or the like and maintain durability, while preventing reverse rotation of a lip in insertion and assembly of the shaft or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission device 1 includes: a coupling cover 9 disposed on an outer peripheral side of a limited slip coupling 27; a joint member 49 axially inserted from the outside of the coupling cover 9 and coupled to a hub shaft 29 of the limited slip coupling 27; and an oil seal 47, supported on a coupling cover 9 side, and in which a main lip 53 and a sub lip 55 are in contact with an outer peripheral face of the joint member 49 and the main lip 53 is positioned axially outside of the sub lip 55 with respect to the coupling cover 9.
