PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light deflector which is capable of increasing the number of angular resolution points without using a thick electro-optical crystal requiring a high voltage and a high power of a driving power source. SOLUTION: In the light deflector where a voltage is applied to an electro-optical crystal and incident light 105 made incident so as to be orthogonal to an electric field is deflected by a refractive index gradient generated in the electro-optical crystal and is emitted as emission light 106 from the electro-optical crystal, a first concave reflecting surface is provided on an optical axis of the emission light, and a second concave reflecting surface is provided on an optical axis of the incident light. The emission light is reflected by the first concave reflecting surface, is not transmitted through the electro-optical crystal, is reflected by the second concave reflecting surface and is made incident on the electro-optical crystal again.
