IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND DATA STORAGE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a data storage method for reducing power consumption by reducing the time for transition to sleep mode.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: a power switch means that is turned on/off to control supply of power; a relay driving means for driving a relay connected in parallel with the power switch means; and a control means for controlling storage of data into a storage device. The control means includes: a power-off detecting means for detecting that the power switch means is turned off; a relay control means for turning on the relay through the relay driving means when the power switch means is turned off; and a storage processing means for detecting ON of the relay and storing data into the storage device.
