PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an easy character input means has not exited heretofore. SOLUTION: This character input device includes: two or more finger input parts each including a detection means which is installed to each of two or more fingers and detects the beat of a blow target that is an object to be beaten, and a blow information output means outputting blow information which includes a finger identifier for identifying a finger and indicates the beat when the detection means detects the beat of the blow target; a blow information reception part sequentially receiving the blow information outputted by the blow information output means, and temporarily storing it; a character information configuration part configuring character information from two or more pieces of the blow information received by the blow information reception part; and a character information output part outputting the character information configured by the character information configuration part.
